Hi!
I'm Rebekah -
a certified childbirth Educator and mother who loves helping families walk into birth feeling informed and powerful.
Birth is one of the most vulnerable and transformative experiences we walk through as women, and over the years I've become deeply passionate about helping both mothers and fathers prepare for it with practical wisdom, thoughtful support, and a deepening trust in God.
I see birth as an opportunity to notice and experience the heart of God as loving towards women, and to women particularly in their labors, afresh.
My classes are rooted in both practical childbirth education and a Christian worldview, blending evidence-informed teaching with reflections on stewardship, Advocacy, fear, suffering, and the heart of God as we experience Him through pregnancy and labor.
So many women enter pregnancy and birth overwhelmed by conflicting voices, pressure, isolation, fear, or the feeling that birth is something simply happening to them. My hope is to help mothers slow down, become thoughtful and informed, and walk into birth feeling supported rather than powerless; not simply because they learned about Interventions, but because they learned of God's love for them in and through His design of birth.
I stepped into the world of birth work after experiencing firsthand how much preparation changed outcomes for my own family in birth.
I truly believe that the best birth preparation honors the design of birth as good, purposeful, and essential to the experience of women in their own births - emotionally, physically and spiritually.
In class we celebrate God's design, work to eliminate fear about birth and empower you with confident decision-making and stewardship.
In everything from the pain and uncertainty, to navigating different models of care and making complex decisions, our spiritual reflections in class offer peace and a strong internal foundation for navigating the vulnerabilities of childbirth.
More than anything else, my classes are designed with a deep commitment to honesty, thoughtfulness, and calm preparation.
I teach extensively on labor physiology, comfort and coping techniques, informed consent, labor progress, partner support, intervention conversations, pushing mechanics, and creating a calm and supportive birth environment. In all this we aim to prepare the emotional atmosphere families carry into birth and the way both mothers and fathers experience the journey together.
A Note to Fathers and Single Mothers:
It is central to the heart of this class to equip fathers to support the women they love well through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. This class is designed for you, too! At the same time, I also know that not every woman enters birth with the kind of support she hoped for or deserved. Whether you are walking into birth deeply supported, carrying complicated circumstances, or preparing largely on your own, you are welcome here and deserving of thoughtful, compassionate care and preparation.
I work with women and families looking for holistic, deep-dive, and meaningful preparation for birth - regardless of their chosen birth location or model of care.
I don't believe there is one perfect way to give birth. I do believe women deserve compassionate and informed care, and I believe families deserve education, support, discernment, and space to make decisions with confidence and peace.
It is truly one of my greatest joys to walk alongside families in this season, and I would be honored to support you as you prepare to welcome your baby.
You deserve an active role in your birth. I'm here to help you with tools to do it.
Already in your corner,
